Assistant Vice President
Born in 1995, Mr. Long is an Assistant Vice President at 20 Gates Management.
Previously, Mr. Long was a CP Trader at Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, where he orchestrated the funding and management two ABCP conduits. He graduated with a BBA degree from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in May 2017. He is pursuing a CFA charter (which requires, among other standards, a minimum of thirty-six months of qualified work experience and passing three levels of exams).

General Counsel
As General Counsel at 20 Gates, Raymond is responsible for the provision of legal advice and services to the company ranging from regulatory compliance to securities transactions. His prior experience includes working with the asset-backed securities team at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP as well as the Swaps & Derivatives Market Association. Ray holds a JD from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Cornell University and a BS from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Dinneen is a Managing Director of 20 Gates Management LLC focusing on risk management. She has 19 years of experience analyzing and structuring asset backed transactions across consumer and commercial assets. Prior to working at 20 Gates, Meghan spent 14 years in Societe Generale’s Asset Backed Products Group structuring and managing financing agreements for hedge funds, private equity funds and the bank’s corporate clients. From 1999 to 2004 Ms. Dinneen worked at Credit Suisse where she structured Asset Backed Commercial Paper vehicles and managed consumer credit backed transactions for Credit Suisse’s ABCP conduits. Meghan started her career in the asset backed finance group at Lehman Brothers. Ms. Dinneen graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Managing Director
Bob Friedberg is a Managing Director at 20 Gates Management LLC with over 25 years experience in Structured Finance, derivatives, and alternatives asset management. Prior to his role with 20 Gates, Bob was a Director at Paceline Capital, a $1B+ Family Office running a tactical portfolio in structured credit and a significant hedge fund portfolio. Before Paceline, Bob worked at Sciens Capital, a large alternative asset management firm, as a Portfolio Manager. His previous experience entailed senior roles in structuring and trading at JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Credit Lyonnais. Mr. Friedberg received his BS in Finance from the McDonough School at Georgetown University.
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Alex Smith is a Managing Director and co-founder of 20 Gates Management LLC with over 14 years of experience. He is the Portfolio / Funding Manager for the firm’s administered money market vehicles and is responsible for the liability management and reporting for those vehicles. Prior to 20 Gates, Alex worked at Credit Suisse for nine years as a Director in the Conduit and Credit Products Group. In this role, Alex was responsible for the management of the bank’s conduits and various on balance sheet entities. Alex graduated from Vanderbilt University in May 1998 with a BA in economics.
Managing Director
Josh Borg, a co-founder and Managing Director of 20 Gates Management, has over 15 years experience in structured finance and asset management. Joining Credit Suisse in 2000, he grew to be a Director in the Conduit and Credit Products Group, covering esoteric ABS, CDOs, synthetics, U.S. munis, distressed workout and balance sheet/regulatory capital solutions. In this role, he also spearheaded the bank’s effort to actively manage down impaired investment vehicles and to maximize asset recovery. From 1997-2000, Mr. Borg worked on the buy side at CGA Investment Management, a boutique asset manager specializing in mezzanine ABS, MBS and CMBS sectors. From 1994 to 1997, he held various positions in Fixed Income Trading at Wells Capital Management, the asset management arm of Wells Fargo Bank. Josh received his BA in Economics from Occidental College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Mark Golombeck, a co-founder and Managing Director of 20 Gates Management, has over 18 years experience originating, structuring and syndicating asset-backed transactions across a broad spectrum of asset types and structures. Prior to this role, Mark was a Director in the Conduit and Credit Products Group at Credit Suisse where he headed the origination, structuring, and placement effort within the Conduit Group. In this position, Mark supervised a $20+ billion ABS investment portfolio. Mark joined Credit Suisse in March 2001. Previously, Mark was part of the Asset Finance team at JP Morgan where he focused on term asset-backed transactions. Mark was also a Principal in the Structured Finance Group at American Capital Access and held various positions within Standard and Poor’s Asset-Backed Securitization Group. Mr. Golombeck started his career working as an auditor at Deloitte and Touche and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mark graduated from the University of Maryland where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He is a FINRA registered securities principal (Series 7, 24, 63 & 79).
Chief Financial Officer
Joe Soave, a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of 20 Gates Management, has over 20 years experience managing asset-backed conduits and running trading desks. Joe is also the lead portfolio manager of 20 Gates’ short-term strategies. Prior to founding 20 Gates, he was a Director at Credit Suisse in the Conduits and Credit Products Group. As Head of the US ABCP desk, Joe oversaw the management of Credit Suisse’s Asset-Backed Commercial Paper conduit, the Auction Rate Securities desk, and the ABS Primary desk, covering 40 programs with daily issuance between $3 and $5 billion. Joe joined Credit Suisse in July of 2000. Previously he was Vice President of the Structured Finance Department at The Industrial Bank of Japan, Ltd. (“IBJ”), NY Branch. At IBJ, Joe was responsible for the management of two credit arbitrage conduits. Joe graduated from State University of New York at Albany in May 1990 with a BA in economics.
Founder and CEO
Hans Bald, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of 20 Gates, has over 30 years experience in structured finance and is one of the leaders in the industry. Prior to starting 20 Gates, he spent 10 years heading up the Conduits and Credit Products Group within Fixed Income at Credit Suisse, responsible for the structuring, purchase, and portfolio management activities of Alpine Securitization Corp – coordinating the firm’s secured lending activities. Along with his asset-backed conduit responsibilities, Hans was also responsible for the ABCP trading desk and the Auction Rate Securities Desk. Previously, Hans was the head of the debt origination unit at Smith Barney responsible for CP, CD and MTN programs. From 1987 to 1994 he held various positions within Merrill Lynch’s Money Markets Division, including Product Manager for Commercial Paper. Hans received his BBA in Finance from Ohio University and his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
